Leadership Organizations

National Honor Society National Honor Society is an organization for high school students and is geared towards encouraging students to volunteer more in their community. I have been volunteering at ACFT (an elementary school in my district) after school in a Girls on the Run program this year.
Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) TAFE is an organization made for high school students that are interested in the field of teaching. Through TAFE I have been able to meet new people from all over Texas as well as learn how to work as a team through my competition. I am also a Vice President of my TAFE chapter.

Educators Rising Educators Rising is very similar to TAFE only on a national level. Last year I competed in a national qualifying event and made it to state for it. My competition was called Job Interview, and I learned many important things about the interview process.
Fish Heads Fish Heads is a leadership organization for upperclassmen to help out incoming freshmen on their first year of high school. We give a fish camp where freshmen are welcome to come and learn things about their new school. I have been a part of this since the end of my sophomore year.
Girls on the Run Girls on the Run is an organization at a nearby elementary school that is made for 3rd through 5th graders. The program helps show the girls their true inner beauty and how amazing they truly are. I have been honored to be a junior coach this past fall season and in the spring.

Here is a picture of some of my classmates and I that all participated at the state competition in Houston at the University of Houston.
